Installation guides for node software and the toolchains used to build it and other projects. Most toolchain guides cover a system-wide installation and a per-user one without root.

Toolchains

• Install Go — build Cosmos SDK chain binaries
• Install Rust — build Rust tools such as Hermes
• Install Node.js — JavaScript runtime from NodeSource or per user with nvm
• Install Yarn — package manager for Node.js projects
• Install Python — venvs and uv for the ChainTools tools and scripts
• Install Java and Maven — OpenJDK or Temurin, and Maven, system-wide or per user
• Install .NET — .NET SDK from APT or per user with Microsoft's install script

Node software

• Install Cosmovisor — run a node with automatic upgrades
• Install Hermes relayer — relay IBC packets between chains
